If so, we’d love to connect you with the Parkdale Community Food Bank to join their Delivery Program as a volunteer driver!
Our very own Connor volunteers in this role and has first hand experience of how important this service is to those in our community who are unable to access in-person services.
Monthly visits to the food bank have increased 8x since the pandemic. Now more than ever, our neighbours are in need. PCFB has a mission to provide barrier-free access to food and for many, weekly food deliveries are a crucial lifeline.
The delivery program has a wait-list, mostly due to the shortage of volunteers with the time and resources to invest in this important role.
